Norodine 24 Injection

Norodine 24 contains trimethoprim 40mg/mL and sulphadiazine 200mg/mL in a clear, yellow solution for injection. It is indicated for the treatment of acute, subacute and chronic conditions of bacterial origin in horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats sensitive to trimethoprim and sulphadiazine. It may be administered for the treatment of respiratory infections of bacterial origin, urogenital infections, alimentary tract infections and other infections, including foot abscess, severe mastitis, bacterial agalactia of sows, and infections of eye, ear and mouth.

  • Indications

    This product is indicated for the treatment of acute, subacute and chronic conditions of bacterial origin in horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats sensitive to trimethoprim and sulphadiazine. It may be administered for the treatment of respiratory infections of bacterial origin, urogenital infections, alimentary tract infections and other infections, including foot abscess, severe mastitis, bacterial agalactia of sows, and infections of eye, ear and mouth.

  • Dosage

    Horses, Cattle, Sheep and Pigs: 1mL/16kg bodyweight by intramuscular or slow intravenous injection. In severe cases, increase the dose to 1mL/10kg. Injections must be administered into the anterior half of the neck in food-producing animals. Dogs & Cats: The recommended site in dogs is the loose skin at the top of the neck. 1mL/8kg bodyweight by subcutaneous injection. A single injection may be sufficient in uncomplicated conditions, but in severe infections treatment may be repeated for up to 5 days, or until 2 days after symptoms resolve. May be administered by slow intravenous injection when effective blood levels of sulphadiazine and trimethoprim are required immediately.
