Loxicom Injection
Loxicom injection contains meloxicam 5mg/mL in a clear, yellow solution for injection into dogs and cats. Dogs - For the alleviation of inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. And also the reduction of post-operative pain and inflammation following orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. Cats - For the reduction of pain after surgery and management of febrile conditions when used in combination with appropriate antibiotics.

Indications
This product is indicated in dogs - For the alleviation of inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. And also the reduction of post-operative pain and inflammation following orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. Cats - For the reduction of pain after surgery and management of febrile conditions when used in combination with appropriate antibiotics.

Dosage
Dogs: Musculoskeletal disorders: Give a single subcutaneous injection of 0.2mg/kg equivalent to 0.4mL/10kg bodyweight. Loxicom Anti-inflammatory Oral Suspension for continuation of treatment, at maintenance dose of 0.1mg/kg bodyweight, beginning 24 hours after administration of the first dose. Reduction of post-operative pain: Give a single intravenous or subcutaneous injection of 0.2mg/kg bodyweight before surgery, for example at the time of induction of anaesthesia. Cats: Reduction of post-operative pain: Give a single subcutaneous injection of 0.3mg/kg equivalent to 0.06mL/kg bodyweight immediately before induction of anaesthesia. Management of febrile conditions: Give a single subcutaneous injection of 0.3mg/kg bodyweight.
